A Look Ahead: Browns @ Seahawks

By Tom Farmer

After a much needed victory in front of the home crowd where the Cleveland Browns picked apart the San Francisco 49ers at First Energy Stadium, they orange and brown are on the road this upcoming week and heading to the pacific northwest to take on the Legion Of Boom and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks.

Russell Wilson has been absolutely on fire lately. in his last 4 games, Wilson has a passer rating of 145.9 with 16 touchdowns and ZERO interceptions. The term “Game Manager” has been thrown around for a few years to describe Wilson but this year, he is looking to can that term and become one of the NFL’s top passers. The Seahawks (8-5) have looked like a completely different team from the struggling 2-3 team that it was in the beginning of the year. With the defense stepping up and being the scary defense they’ve been in the past, it’s going to be difficult for the  Johnny Manziel led Browns to come up with the win on Sunday.

Earlier today, Browns coach Mike Pettine was asked if he thinks that Russell Wilson was a top tier QB.

“Would you put him there with the guys that can transcend their supporting cast? The Bradys, whether it’s Aaron Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, the ones that you would consider the two, three, four elite guys? No. But he’s certainly played himself into that next tier.”

Wilson brushed off Pettines comments, saying he doesn’t pay attention to things like that. But I think we all know that this 3rd round draft pick in 2012 is listening to every word every opponent has said to fuel his fire and get back to the Super Bowl. The Browns will need a good, no GREAT game plan to take care of this possible championship team
